Far to long and Froyo

Well its been quiet a long time since I posted here and what have we learned……well from my last post the new iPhone photos were genuine while the phone has now officially been announced and released in Ireland as of Friday things are not going so well.
The antenna/signal problems are still a major issue with people jumping ship to the now popular Android platform, me included.
What else?well Schumachers come back hasn’t been as awe inspiring as I would have hopped and thought I did however expect no championship in his 1st yr. Even Mercedes know this now&are building for next year.
Froyo 2.2 fallout to unbranded Desires (YAY) us happening this weekend so I have spent a lot if time pressing the ‘check for update’ button.
I hope to start doing this mire and defo adding some tech pieces so stay tuned. Either way my Twitter is constantly updated so you know I’m nit dead.
New iPhone

Well tonight the interwebs is awash with speculation as Engadgets Jason reveals whats looks and seems to be confirmed the new iPhone prototype that was accidentally left behind in a bar in Redwood City. iPhone 4th Gen
Could this be the new iPhone and who would be stupid enough to leave one behind. Engadet aren’t ones to run head long into a review without some sort of concrete evidence and it does seem genuine although why there is no conformation of what CPU is under the hood (Snapdragon or otherwise) makes me a little skeptical.

Rotten Apples!?

So yesterday Apples Steve Jobs & Co took the stage at an expo that we all now means twitter reliability goes out the window. What was the big fuss, especially so soon after the iPads release? Well you guessed it OS4.0 the next re-incarnation of apples beloved mobile device OS.
To me this is where the wow ends,putting aside there was no iPhone R4 announcement. The OS to me is starting to get in a rut where every so often they will release,or should I say unlock, a feature of our current phone,make a sing&dance about it and then on release break everyones wifi.
It’s become a stanard cycle of life for Apples OS & instead of being revolutionary as it did with the original phone they have just gone back to old reliable unlock feature system – it’s like playing C&C4 here -.
There could have been some more & could gave been an update on the next gen iPhone as Im seriously looking at throwing out my basket of apples.
HTC Desire is on the cards and hopefully Apple will prove me wrong releasing something ground breaking with the new phone before my upgrade appears.

Back to School for F1 Drivers. Prof Schumacher class begins

Well with only 6 days to go till qualifying I can tell you I’m holding my breath till the lights turn green.
The 2010 Formula 1 season is about to start and with no less than 4 ex or current champions on the grid it’s going to make for an exciting season. Among those 4 Michael Schumacher, the greatest modern F1 driver & up there with Senna and Co.
I’m not one of your follow cause he is winning kinda ppl, I started my interest in F1 at the same time the german started with a then small ‘minno’ team known as Jordon. Although I am not expecting a Championship in his 1st season I do believe he will be compeditive. What does he have to teach? Well to me Schumacher coulda sat into any car and made it compeditive, something I think alot of newer F1 drivers don’t have.
Either way with 24 cars on the grid (used to be 20) I am looking forward to this season and in the word of another Legend Dave Mustain

From War games to a game as WAR

This is a test for WP – Twitter integration and also an excuse to blog too.
I am not normally a game reviewer as I neither have the patience, time or control over the written English language to be – (my gf will back me up on this) but I will make comments on things that annoy me as well as things that I have grown to love. After reading Joyrex post on Darksiders I had to go out and play it and so I did, which leads me to this post which I felt I had to post.
This game is GOD DAM sweeeet.
Summary: You’re War, one of the four horsemen. You been stiched up with ‘acidentially’ bringing the apocalypse, and subsequently sent back to sort the mess out. Blah, blah. It’s a third person brawler cum action RPG.
Now it has it’s flaws don’t get me wrong & it takes a lot of inspiration from other games in the genre, imagine a God of War / Zelda combo. A mixture of large scale over exaggerated monster fighting mixed with Zelda type dungeons with Puzzles. I’m not going to say anything else but just wanted to add my voice to the many new fans of this game and here is looking forward to Darksiders 2
